Certified Copy trailer online starring Binoche and Shimell

July 28th, 2010 admin

I’m going to be honest and say that I had no idea about Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy, and when that appeared with the words “Exclusive trailer” it was just vague interest that stole me across. However after watching it I’m now rather intrigued. The film stars Juliette Binoche and William Shimell who are two strangers that pretend to be a married couple and the trailer is everything that a Hollywood trailer isn’t….Visit

Love Ranch trailer online
The trailer for Love Ranch has arrived online, the film from Taylor Hackford and Mark Jacobson that tells the, probably partly true, story of a married couple who opened the first legal brothel in Nevada. The film stars Helen Mirren, Joe Pesci, Gina Gershon, Ling Bai and from what you might think of the blurb, the trailer delivers something very different,...
How Do You Know trailer online
Romantic comedies are just that these days, romantic comedies. There’s not much else to them, except that they usually have a few big name stars who carry the film and all the marketing. However to be fair that’s how the old Hollywood starring films went too, except they usually always had something of a twist to them. That’s how...
Mike Leigh’s Another Year trailer online
A trailer is online for Mike Leigh’s latest film Another Year. The film follows an elderly couple and their family and close friends over the course of just another year and stars some great names from the leads of Jim Broadbent and Ruth Sheen, to Lesley Manville, Peter Wight, David Bradley, Karina Fernandez, Phil Davis and Imelda Staunton....
I Spit on Your Grave trailer online
The trailer for the I Spit on Your Grave remake has arrived online, and it’s pretty much as I thought. It starts off quite ominously, but then it falls into the inevitable slots where other films have been. You’ll see shades of Ils (Filmstalker review) or The Strangers, Hostel (Filmstalker review), and other such horrors. Now I do understand...
Locksmith trailer online
I don’t know why I watched this trailer to begin with, but I did, and it surprised me and the brief moments we get with the character drew me in. There’s not nearly enough to have me racing to the cinema but there’s enough to have me intrigued, especially with some positive comments coming from those who have seen it. Locksmith tells...
13 Tzameti remake trailer online
The first trailer for the remake of 13 Tzameti from writer and director Géla Babluani has arrived. It’s called simply 13 and has been remade by the original director for Hollywood featuring a big name cast and a Hollywood style, certainly to the trailer. Ray Winstone, Alexander Skarsgård, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Michael Shannon, Sam...
Cheery Tree Lane trailer online
The British home invasion horror/thriller Cherry Tree Lane has a trailer online, and it looks okay. The film is hitting the cinema on September 3rd and then DVD some ten days later, and I managed to see it at the Edinburgh International Film Festival just recently, although I’ve realised I haven’t posted the trailer yet – and I need...
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader trailer online
There are a couple of things that disappoint me about The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the first is obviously that it’s going to be 3D, so that’s that one out of the way, the second is that the trailer. Although it’s nice and all and it reminds us of the characters from the first including those in Narnia,...
The Dry Land trailer online
The Dry Land is a film I really wanted to see at the Edinburgh International Film Festival but the screening fell on the second week of screenings which meant I was pretty much bed ridden, or not really allowed in public. It now has a trailer online to rub the salt into the wounds. At first you might think that this is just another mentally scarred...
The Whistleblower trailer online
A trailer for The Whistleblower has arrived online, a film that has adapted the true experiences of Kathryn Bolkovac, an American policewoman who served as a peacekeeper in Bosnia for a private company with the U.N. and was thrown out when she uncovered a sex slavery ring. I’m not sure how much of the film will actually turn out to be the true...
